Join Leah Doctorello from King County EMS’ One Step Ahead Fall Prevention program for an educational session on reducing falls. This session will help participants identify their personal risk factors and provide simple evidence-based strategies to reduce falls, improve safety, and support independent living. Topics include:
Communicating effectively with your healthcare provider
Making simple home safety modifications
Participating in evidence-based exercise programs
Managing medication safely
Engaging family and community support
Leah has over 27 years with King County Emergency Medical Services – Community Programs, currently serving as Fall Prevention Program Manager. She oversees the One Step Ahead and Shape Up programs, focusing on reducing falls and promoting health for older adults.
